A few weeks ago, my friend Oo Nwoye made it known that I had arranged for Nigeria’s 2016 Appropriation Bill (Budget) to be converted…/retyped, put in a database and made accessible online at publicdata.ng ¶ Looking through the budget revealed so many outrageous items that I felt that every educated Nigerian (no matter how busy) should have a chance to quickly look at the budget especially in the areas that they are knowledgeable about. ¶ I was forced to go the offshore retyping route because I reached out to people I thought would have access to spreadsheet versions without any luck.
